ABOUT US

The International Sociodrama Conference (ISC) is a world-wide network of sociodrama professionals, initiated by a group of portuguese sociodrama collegues led by Manuela Maciel and with the support of Sociedade Portuguesa de Psicodrama (SPP) in 2007.
Since its foundation, the ISC  network has held its regular sociodrama conference in a number of countries (Portugal, Sweden/Finland, Argentina, Italy, Brasil, Greece).
These events are organized by the international sociodrama community, accompanied by an organizing committee, local to the hosting country.

The 8th Sociodrama Conference will take place in Budapest in 2024, and is hosted by the Hungarian Association for Psychodrama.

HUNGARIAN ASSOCIATION FOR PSYCHODRAMA

The Hungarian Association for Psychodrama is the hosting organization of the 8th Sociodrama Conference. Founded in 1989, the Hungarian Association for Psychodrama (MPE) is the sole psychodrama training organization in Hungary. MPE is a member of FEPTO (Federation of European Psychodrama Training Organizations) and IAGP (International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes). The sociodrama working group of the association was formed in 2012, and in 2016 MPE became the initiator of a large-scale European sociodrama project, called PERFORMERS.
Today the Hungarian Association has a sociodrama training and several sociodrama ateliers were formed in the past years for the development of the methodology and for its implementation in different sectors (education, social care, healthcare, community development).
